The Breakdown

The Breakdown is a unique troupe of talented musicians that have come together to bring music alive. The ability of The Breakdown to break down into different corps enables a wide range of music genres ranging from pop (like Ed Sheeran, John Legend), rock (Queen, Sublime), classic soul (Stevie Wonder, Otis Redding), rock-and-roll/blues (Elvis Presley, Stevie Ray Vaughn), to classic jazz (Ella Fitzgerald, Frank Sinatra, Miles Davis).

Big Band

The fan-favorite “big band” dance band includes multiple singers, a full rhythm section, and a three-piece horn section. This group brings so much energy to pop, rock, funk, and classic soul that audiences have been known to dance the entire night. This is the perfect corps for large venues like night clubs, festivals, and private events where dancing is desired.

Core Ensemble

The 5-piece core ensemble includes the full rhythm section (bass, guitar, drums, keyboard) and a singer. This extremely versatile corps keeps the party moving with pop, rock, funk, classic soul, and rock-and-roll. This is the perfect corps for bars, and private events.

Jazz Combo

The jazz combo includes a full rhythm section (bass, guitar, drums, keyboard) and may include a horn (trumpet or sax) that can play instrumental jazz standard requests with knowledge of literally hundreds of songs including classic and latin jazz, bebop, classic show tunes, and nostalgia rock. This is a perfect corps for dinner settings, receptions, and lounges.

Duos

The duos include a keyboard and a singer or other instrument (guitar, bass, sax, trumpet). With a deep pocket of songs this versatile setup can simultaneously add ambience and entertainment, playing songs including classic jazz, classic show tunes, and nostalgia rock. This is the perfect corps for small venues, dinner settings, intimate parties, and lounges.
