Sela Campbell

Hi everyone! My name is Sela Campbell. I am 15 years old and I live in Northern Virginia.

When I was younger I was obsessed with the guitar. At 5 years old, I started taking guitar lessons at the Contemporary Music Center in Haymarket. I performed “Jolene” by Dolly Parton in one of their small recitals. After that performance, I started playing constantly.

In 2019, I met Todd Brooks. Mr. Todd and his band (the Pour Decisions) graciously offered me a chance to play their breaks during one of their gigs, as well as a slot in 868 Vineyards 2019 Loco Fest. During this festival, I was named the “Loco Rising Star” and was generously given musical equipment. This gave me the opportunity to start my own gigs.

Unfortunately, COVID presented a minor setback. I used my downtime learning songs and started posting a song a day on instagram. By the end of quarantine, I had learned over 50 songs.

At the start of 2021, I had everything I needed to start playing my own gigs. Now I play gigs at established wineries and breweries all around Loudoun county. I play mostly country music, with a good mix of old classics and new hits, and a few non-country songs that I love. I also play corporate and private events & parties.

In 2022, I competed in the Loudoun Battle of the Bands and won Best Soloist. I’m looking forward to continuing to make more great memories playing music!
