Bruce Ewan
Blues harmonica player/vocalist based in the Washington, DC area and I’ve been on the music scene since 1975. I made my professional debut with sibling blues guitarist/vocalist Bobby Radcliff. I’ve had the good fortune of sharing the stage and performing with blues legends such as John Lee Hooker, Albert Collins, Bobby Blue Bland, Buddy Guy, Carey Bell, Sunnyland Slim, Mighty Joe Young to name a few.
While I consider myself a Chicago style blues harmonica player, I have been mixing my blues roots with elements of jazz and Latin music such as Afro-Cuban, Tango as well as Brazilian elements of Bossa Nova and samba as evidenced on my most recent effort “BLUESERO” which is a mix of my musical influences with originals and interpretations. I’ve toured extensively internationally – particularly the countries of Argentina, Brazil, Spain, Mexico and South Africa. I have also performed in Portugal and Chile.
