Andrew Young
North Carolina singer-songwriter Andrew Young is anything but ordinary. From day one of his life, he has employed creativity in every facet of his life and craft. Born without one of his hands, the now 26-year old fought through trials and tribulations at a young age to write, sing, and play guitar using a rubber band and plastic spoon.
His creativity and flexibility in life shines through in his music. With a wide range of influences from The Goo Goo Dolls to George Strait, Young’s music blends sweet, youthful nostalgia of 90’s rock with soulful Americana instrumentation. His newest project, the forthcoming 2025 EP ‘Hello Again,’ displays his wide range. Recorded in Nashville with Charlotte Avenue Entertainment, lead single ‘Till The Wheels Fall Off’ opens with driving guitars, sweet vocal melodies and introspective lyrics, while ‘September’ is a love-letter to fond memories of the past and 2000’s alternative rock instrumentation.
Young’s passionate vocals and ear-catching writing style have turned heads from a young age. From playing festivals across Virginia and North Carolina to opening for alternative heavyweights Bad Suns, Matt & Kim, and The Mowgli’s, his passionate vocals, musical versatility, and inspirational message connect to audiences of all backgrounds and show no signs of stopping.
