Jen & Dave Hawley Music

Jen Hawley is a singer-songwriter, music educator and the co-owner of Startsong Studio in Germantown, MD. She and her husband (and business partner) are passionate about instilling curiosity, creativity, confidence and a love for music in each and every student. As a vocalist and multi-instrumentalist, Jen’s songwriting style is an amalgamation of Americana genres (folk, jazz, pop, gospel, bluegrass & blues).

Often performing with her husband, Dave Hawley, Jen aims to bring people closer together through lyrical introspection. “It wasn’t until my mid-twenties that I was inspired to write my own music. And the journey of sharing songs began. My hope is that my songs facilitate a connection with our own stories, with those around us, and with our Creator.”
